Countries and areas
Countries and areas
It has been stated very clearly from the start that the only requirement for Coalitions of Countries is that each Coalition has around 25% of the world's population. It is preferable to build Coalitions of Countries with CONTINUOUS areas as we have done so far but not required. Now, we will examine how we can build Coalitions with separate countries. Initially, there will be no effort to place a country in a broader continuous area and include that area in a Coalition.
We will use the same names for Coalitions that we have used so far. A is Western Europe's and India's, B is China's, C is USA's and D is Eastern Europe's. We will start with USA's Coalitions C. First of all, Israel can be in the same Coalition with USA, without making a continuous area with the six more countries from the Arab Peninsula. UK is not in EU anymore. So it should be in Coalition C.
Ireland, Canada and Mexico do not have to be in Coalition C, even if Ireland is next to UK and Canada - Mexico next to USA. However in this example, we will place Ireland and Canada in C but they could also be in A. We will place Mexico in A. On the other hand, Italy can be with USA in C (instead of in A), because there are many Italian Americans in USA.
In USA, there are many Polish Americans as well. Poland is also placed in C. We are not claiming that this will happen. We are just giving an example. In Asia, USA has good relations with Philippines and Taiwan, among other countries. So these are also placed in C. Also currently, USA - Argentina relations are good. Argentina is also included in C eventhough it is with Brazil, Paraguay, Urugualy, Bolivia in Mercosur.
Western Europeans are obsessed with Ukraine. So Ukraine could be in A but in this example it will remain in C. In Coalition D, there should be at least all Eastern Orthodox countries. They originate from Byzantine Empire and Kievan Russes. They had for centuries very close relations. Ukraine is also an Orthodox country that originates from Kievan Russes. Ukraine, Belarus and Russia had always been the closest allies.
Kazakhstan has close relations with Russia. It has also the seventh largest Orthodox population and much higher per capita income than the other Central Asian countries. So Kazakhstan should be placed in D. Russia has close relation with Brazil, mainly because of BRICS but for other reasons as well. Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia are also in Mercosur. So we place Bolivia with Argentina in C and Uruguay - Paraguay with Brazil in D.
Coalition D is not as strong as the other three. It needs to become stronger. At least Japan and S. Korea should be added. This is the minimum requirement. Japan and S. Korea are next to Russia's eastern part. It is preferable if Austalia and N. Zealand are also added. They could also be included in Coalition C with USA and UK but it will become very stong compared to the rest.
In China's Coalition B there will be N. Korea, Iran and Iran's closest allies, Yemen and Lebanon. China has very good relations with Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba. They are included in B as well. Also China has good relations with many Subsaharan countries. We will include three of them, Nigeria, DR Congo and S. Africa. The last one is in BRICS (Brazil-Russia-India-China-S. Africa) also.
Western Europe is always with India. Without Italy, Western Europe has nine countries. Scandinavia - Finland - Austria (SFA) are not included initially but they could be included later. Turkiye has been trying for forty years to be together with Western Europe. Also Turkish is the largest minority in Germany. Turkiye and the three French ex - colonies in North Africa (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia) are included in A.
The four Coaltions with populations and percentage of the world's are presented in Appendix 42. Coalitions A and B are already full (complete). A has 24,95% and B 25,16%. So all the rest of the countries will have only two options, Coalition C or D. These two Coalitions have so far less than 10%. C has 9,40% and B 8,77%. In each one, more than 15% of the world's population will be added.
As it can be seen on the map, there are continuous areas. For instance, the Orthodox Eastern European countries are a continuous area. S. Korea and Japan are next to them. Also the nine Western European countries are a continuous area. Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia are close to them, across the Mediterranean Sea. USA, Canada and the four countries in North Atlantic are a continuous area too.
But Italy, Poland, Israel are not. Since more countries will be added in Coalition C, these three countries may end up being in a continuous area. Between Italy and Poland, are Austria and Czechia. So if these two are added to Coalition C, Italy and Poland will be in a continuous area. But there are some more countries available that could be added.
Between the nine Western European and the Orthodox countries are many other countries. Some of them will be added to Coalition C and some to Coalition D. We add Western to Coalition C and Eastern to Coalition D. The percentage of Coalition C increases to 10 (9,99) % and that of D goes up to 9,26%. If the countries shown ( in Appendix 42) are added to Coalition C, Italy and Poland will be in a continuous area.
Mexico is in Coalition A but not in a continuous area. Below Mexico are Guatemala , Belize , Honduras , El Salvador . Coalition A is full. However, there is and acceptable range below and above 25%. This could be 0,5 - 1,5%. The four countries have 34,5 million or 0,43%. If the four countries are added to Coalition A, the percentage becomes 25,38% which is definitely acceptable. Below is Nicaragua which is in Coalition B.
Below Nicaragua are Costa Rica and Panama. They have less than 10 million and only 0,12%. If they are added, the percentage or Coalition B becomes 25,28% which is totally acceptable. After Panama is Colombia which has 52,7 million or 0,66%. Next to Colombia is Venezuela which is already in B. With Colombia, the percentage becomes 25,94% which is acceptable. The rest of Latin American countries can be placed in C and D.
Whether USA will allow these to happen, is a totally different story. USA may not allow the countries that are very close (Mexico, Cuba, Panama etc) to be in another Coalition. Likewise, most likely China will not allow Taiwan to be in another Coalition. Also C is much stronger than the rest, even without Oceania. We are not suggesting that what we present in this example should or will happen. It is only an example.
Here, we are trying to demonstrate that initially separate countries can be included in a Coalition without being in a continuous area. Afterwards, there can be an effort to include other countries around them in the same Coalition, so that a continuous area is created. There can be several modification made to the initial arrangement in order to have all countries in continuous areas, if it is possible. It is not required but preferable.
